Men's Natural Bodybuilding Info & Rules
General Information
  • ENTRY FEE/DEADLINE: $75.00 - first category, $50.00 each additional category. Crossover between divisions are permitted. Due by March 3, 2018. Late entries will have a $40.00 processing fee. Visit the registration page to enter
  • ELIGIBILITY: Open to all NPC registered athletes. Please pre-register at www.npcnewsonline.com. NPC cards will, also, be available at the contest. Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Physique, Figure and Bikini competitions are a national qualifier and therefore open to all NPC registered individuals.
  • DATE, TIME & LOCATION: March 10, 2018 at 6pm | Niagara Falls Conference & Events Center | 101 Old Falls St, Niagara Falls, NY 14303
  • CHECK-IN: Friday, March 9, 2018 at 6:30pm at Niagara Falls Conference and Event Center. (All contestants MUST report for height and/or weight verification and NPC membership)
  • PRE-JUDGING:
    • Athlete and Backstage Trainer Credentialing Meeting: Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 9:00AM 
    • Judging: Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 10:00AM 
  • EVENING SHOW: Contestants are to report at 5:30 PM. Finals at 6:00 PM. All contestants will be presented to the audience at the finals. 
  • MUSIC: CD or portable electronic device with an audio jack  (Ex cell phone) set at beginning with 60 sec. limit. If music is deemed to have profanity, the contestant will be disqualified. 
  • AWARDS: Top five in each class and overall winners will receive awards. Each class and overall winner will be drug tested, along with other randomly chosen athletes within the natural division.
  • MISC: All contestants must display good sportsmanship at all times and follow rules. Signing the registration form is consent of acceptance to financial responsibility for replacement cost of Convention Center property caused by misuse.
What are you tested for?
Contestants will be subject to urine testing for illegal performance enhancing drugs, including anabolic steroids, diuretics and clenbuterol.

Who will be tested?
Each class winner will be tested, along with other randomly chosen athletes.

What are the penalties? 
If you test positive for any of these drugs you will be disqualified from the event. You will forfeit your placing and you must return your award to the contest promoter.

Testing Rules
You must be tested BEFORE you leave the Backstage Area. You must wear only your posing suit. No other clothing will be permitted in the Testing Area. You must list, on the Official Entry Form, what legal supplements you used in preparation for this event. Please print clearly. By signing the Entry Form you agree to allow the contest promoters to post any drug test failures on the contest website.
Weight and Age Classes
Men's Natural Open Classes
  • Bantam: Up to 143-1/4 lbs
  • Lightweight: Up to 154-1/4 lbs
  • Welterweight: Up to 165-1/4 lbs
  • Middleweight: Up to 176-1/4 lbs
  • Light-Heavyweight: Up to 198-1/4 lbs
  • Heavyweight: Up to 225-1/4 lbs
Onstage
  • Any competitor doing the “Moon Pose” will be disqualified.
  • Lying on the floor is prohibited.
  • Bumping and shoving is prohibited. First and second persons involved will be disqualified.
  • Competitors numbers will be worn on the left side of the suit bottom.
Posing Attire
  • All suit bottoms must be V-shaped, no thongs are permitted.
  • Suits worn by male competitors at the prejudging and finals must be plain in color with no fringe, wording, sparkle or fluorescents.
  • Competitors are not permitted to alter the fit of the posing suit by hiking it up in the back or by pulling up the sides during Front and Rear Lat Spreads.
  • During the Prejudging, male competitors are not permitted to wear any jewelry onstage other than a wedding band. 
  • No glasses, props or gum are permitted onstage.
Qualifications
Who Qualifies for a National Level Competitions?
  • Competitors that place in the top five (5) in each open class at national qualifying contests qualify for the Junior USA, Junior Nationals, NPC Universe and IFBB North American Championship competitions.
  • Competitors that place in the top three (3) in each open class at national qualifying contests qualify for the USA and National Championships. 
  • One-year qualification for the top five (5) places in each class at national-level contests previously listed.
